Our Silversmiths
Etta Endito (hallmark E) is Navajo (Diné) and was born in Crownpoint, NM into the Tangle Water Clan. While growing up in Crownpoint, she learned how to work with silver by assisting her mother after school. By the time she was 15, she was smithing part-time on her own as well. At age 18, she inaugurated her career as a full-time silversmith. Etta’s work has been featured in the Indian Craft shop at the Department of the Interior in Washington, D.C. She was one of eight Native American artists chosen for this honor. Her work has also been shown in the Spring Indian Market in Washington, D.C.
Randy Endito (hallmark RD) is Navajo (Diné) and was born in Smith Lake, NM into the Bitter Water Clan. He also learned the art of working with silver from his mother. After Randy and Etta married, they began working together in 1980. Randy’s specialty is shaping, stamping and buffing of the silver. Etta enjoys creating the intricate designs and patterns. Together they create elegant, contemporary, well-crafted designs.
Randall Endito (hallmark R) is Navajo (Diné) and was born in Crownpoint, NM into the Bitter Water Clan. He is the son of Etta and Randy. He is proud to be part of the Endito silversmithing tradition. Like his father, he enjoys the shaping, stamping and buffing.
Geneva Ramone (hallmark GR) is Navajo (Diné) and was born in Crownpoint, NM into the Towering House Clan. She is absolutely the very best stamp work artist. Geneva is known for her custom bezel work and the early Navajo designs that she incorporates in her work.
Kevin Ramone (hallmark KR) is Navajo (Diné) and was born in Crownpoint, NM into the Towering House Clan. He is the son of Geneva and is following in his mother’s footsteps. Kevin constantly impresses everyone with his desire for perfection.
Andrew Ruiz (hallmark AR) is Mescalero Apache and was born in Albuquerque, NM. He is very creative with his designs. Andrew is accomplished in the art of tufa cast and sandcast work.
Fritson Toledo (hallmark FT) is Navajo (Diné) and was born in Cuba, NM into the Black Streak Clan. He is known for his excellent stamp work and unusual overly designs. He began to silversmith when he was only 8 years old. Fritson has won many awards and is considered one of the foremost silversmiths in New Mexico.
